About HLAC

The first competition started in 1964 in Geelong, Victoria. The association gradually spread throughout Australia, commencing in NSW in 1970.

The age of Little Athletes ranges from Tots and U6 through to U17. Each athlete participates in various activities, including running, jumping and throwing.

Emphasis is on the enjoyment and involvement of the children and their parents.  Each child is encouraged to participate and achieve according to his or her ability.  Little Athletics is a friendly, healthy, varied and inexpensive summer sport.

Helensburgh and Districts Athletics clubs have been in existence for over 30 years. Competition runs at Rex Jackson Oval each Friday Night. The club is a member of the Southern Metropolitan Zone and Region 8.
